I think what it comes down to is a company that’s making big bucks on their projects get accustomed to a certain amount of revenue & profit each year and the idea that they could do Portal 3 and it would be profitable but it would only be 20% as profitable as a different project makes it hard for them prioritize it.

I believe at that point it’s called “privateering”.

From on outside perspective, it seems rather insane that anyone looking to help workers would accept a settlement like the one the EEOC gave Blizzard.

I don’t know how unusual this is in the US, but seems wild for a state agency to step in and try to set aside a settlement negotiated by a federal agency. Good for them. There definitely seem to be some legitimate issues.
