Screw Aerodynamics, can I just have a brick on wheels?

My point being that unless the company/authorities actively hunt down employees using the banned phones in the cab, the ban would have no effect. (Chances are such a thing is already against company policy, but people do it anyway because it's not closely monitored/enforced)

I'm not going to get involved in a fight here, but in CarlbooLou's defense, a lot of states have bans on texting while driving, and pretty much everybody has a ban on using a cell phone too. But most people just choose to ignore it, go on their merry way, and every so often kill someone for their neglegence. (much

You could always just go to your local dirt track instead of just watching internet video. If you live anywhere in the U.S. there's bound to be one within an hour of you, and so long as you can tolerate a handful of redneck fans there's usually some decent racing to be seen for a few bucks.

As a Buffalonian I'd like to give the rest of the city to NJ as well...

Not really a track day, but around here the local 1/8 mile strip has free admission cruise nights, and for $5 a pass you can go fast all you want

Won't/Can't happen. Since vehicle registration is not specifically delegated to the U.S. government in the Constitution that power is reserved for states.

As if we needed another reason to despise Albany.

It folds out and warns traffic to slow down due to pedestrians. Sort of like a school bus stop sign, although you are not required by law to do anything specific for a "slow" sign

That could make for some ingenious marketing...

I like it, bring back the Caballero!

Never knew that. I'd always assumed all vans had the sliding doors, but it seems like European people carriers often don't. I can't understand why though; they're an awfully useful feature.

Also, Honda tried doing 4 conventional doors on a van in the 90s. Thus, they eliminated a big part of the van's practicality without making it any cooler. Not the best idea..

Agreed

There's a general "ricer" stereotype which includes HID headlights, bright rims, and exaggerated performance claims with cheap mods. Generally the type of college kid crowd that hangs around these cars isn't too popular on here, thus the sarcastic comments above.

Yes, this is old, but all that's changed is that GM lost a few brands and these cars are now crossovers.

Speaking of Originality.....

By my Math, a Bugatti Veyron 16.4 would cost you somewhere in the ballpark of $9.5 million.

What could be more fun than a Ford Aspire?

Haha that's actually pretty accurate. Bonus points if they have pin striping combined with a general lack of clearcoat.
