Ford named their version Topaz in Mexico and it actually had the Topaz rear end with the Tempo front end on it

Ford sold the Tempo as the Ford Topaz in Mexico with the rear body treatment from the Mercury Topaz as shown in the article

No, this was the Ford Topaz as this was the Mexican specification version which was a hybrid of the Ford Tempo and Mercury Topaz sold in Mexico.

Seems unlikely stock at least, due to the fact that it has a rack and pinion steering system vs the recirculating ball system, plus the independent front suspension vs solid front axle, well at least until the hard core off road enthusiasts swap over to the solid front axles like the wrangler.

He just got really excited, it doesn’t appear that the windscreen will fold down, but in many aspects it meets or exceeds the competition.

4x4 is standard, with a more advanced system for hard core off road enthusiasts is available on higher trim versions, there is no 4x2 version of the Bronco.

The 2 door Big Bend package starts at $33,385 before destination/tax/title/ fees. https://www.ford.com/suvs/bronco/2021/models/ Come on now and stop assuming that certain trims just flat out won’t be available just because you can’t find the info in 2 seconds.

Nope, it’s maybe standard on the Wildtrak and First Edition, but it’s optional on everything from the base on up.

The two and four door Bronco is going to be built at Michigan Assembly, where they are currently assembling the Ford Ranger.

The 2012-13 models used a 6 speed, they didn’t use a 9 speed until the 2014 and newer models, even though the engine was essentially the same.

Yup, 100% dealer installed accessories, not factory installed.

Nope, this is the Tremec TR3160 out of the GT350 instead of the MT82 from the base GT.

The GT premium power leather heated and cooled seats would be standard, optional manual leather Recaro seats are available at extra cost, so both will be available as they are on the vanilla Mustang GT.

How can you say for sure it’s a base radio? You can get Sync 3 without the shaker pro or now the Bang & Olufson audio package, and the interior shown has the leather seats, which indicates that it was from a premium package car.

It’s not an extra 3 years /36k miles on the engine warranty.

With Ford the dealer can lock in the rebates at the time of placing the order or pick the current rebates at the time of delivery whichever is greater. Well at least they did in 2012 when I ordered my first new car. The rebates when I ordered ended up being greater than when it arrived also.

Yup it’s an 2004, not an 2001 as stated in the article. Using a VIN decoder based on the sticker as well as just looking at it and seeing the 1/04 date says it’s a 2004 built in January 2004, not January 4th 2001.

Just playing devil’s advocate here, but personally I think it would have been better off called just the Mach E, and being inspired by the Mustang, but shouldn’t have been called one, however if Ford says so then they are in charge of the name as much as we may strongly dislike it.
