I usually just put a reminder on my calendar set for a few days before the trial expires when I sign up so I don’t forget.

I imagine most retail stores work the same way in that even though you process that refund during normal hours, it won’t actually be sent to the bank as a finalized transaction until the end of day processing is done in the store. I tried Emby once a little over a year ago and it was painful. I tried it again within the last month due to frustrations with the lack of progress on any meaningful to me features and it has been significantly better.
