Yep, you’re whole point is wrong to start with though. It wasn’t his “modestly trafficked Medium site” that made Favreau, etc so popular it’s Simmons podcast network. Why are you being dense on purpose, did Simmons refuse to hire you or something?

There are more than 5 of those ads per show. Plus, you’re not counting Simmons’ own podcast in there, or the Watch, or that Bachelor thing, or the golf one, or the Game of Thrones stuff.

And that doesn’t include the ads on the site.

I would bet their podcast network makes money. They have pretty high subscriber bases for most of their feeds. But then again, podcast financials are such a murky world. Some one needs to write a piece on what these companies are paying for these podcast plugs.

I think the issue is that they needed to be able to be taken off part way through. Normally the prosthetics would have included smaller and more delicate pieces which would enhance the realism.

It was always going to be off because the eyes were too bright and the teeth too perfect for a 89 year old woman who grew up poor and without access to modern beauty treatments. Plus, not enough age spots, and the cheeks were enormous.

The prosthetic is pretty good; the jawline and lashes were troublesome. The artist needed to add some slack to the jaw. The lashes were clearly powdered, the texture was evident. He should have used a gloss or wax over the lash powder.

I feel like whoever is doing the facial prosthesis is the same person who did it for Katy’s Hillary Clinton Halloween costume and they’re kind of overrating how realistic his product looks.
