Not in the case of a political figure, but if they're *only* talking about their dead father or bitching about their boss they're sort of being defined by their relationships to men.

I think the fact that it so often overlooked also helps perpetuate the idea that female friendships are somehow inferior to male ones, or that women cannot be friends because they're so catty and competitive.

In Germany ( maybe the entire EU?), all labels show the nutrition information for a serving but also for a standard amount (100g for solid foods, 100ml for liquids). I find this very useful because it allows for easy comparisons between different brands or varieties of food.

Not liberal enough - they should go the European way and make it insanely cheap for everyone. I paid less than 400 euros for a 5 semester degree. College should be cheap if you're smart enough to get in (though K-12 ed should be improved and everyone should have a fighting chance so maybe it is impossible).

Me too! People who go on and on about how "real" books are better must have huge shelf-space and never move, because otherwise there are so.many.advantages. to having an ereader.

It's good. I went with some coworkers because it was half-price day and thought I'd hate it but I really enjoyed it. It was sort of campy but idea-y and the Novak segments were darkly hilarious.
