I can't find anything to verify what I though I "knew" about Chris … but I have thought there was a Chris/Foulkes connection since very early mention of a dozen (handful?) of witnesses who were summoned or went to the police station that next morning and were never questioned … (even their presence never became part

Because Daniel couldn't remember events of that night … he asked (maybe Jon) for transcripts from the trial testimony (probably Trey/George's since they were the witnesses) — we saw him reading the transcript and then constructing the doll and then "strangling" the pillow a few times without really "getting into it"

actually I can't confirm anything at all about Chris — I thought it was mentioned in the first season when we first learned that there were a lot of people in the area of the rape that night who were brought down to the police station but — mysteriously — never questioned .. I thought Chris specifically was mentioned

Chris has a great deal of "credibilty" — he's educated, wearing a suit … he's a doctor and comes from a "good family" … He's even been mentally/emotionally preparing to be questioned ever since that night. I thought he was being truthful, until I consider the unlikelihood of so much of what he described … yes, yuck,

and not just the rape(s) … also the obstruction of justice and railroading of Daniel for that crime … as well as the murder by "logical" extension … I'm doubtful that the theory Daniel killed Hanna for any reason, much less because she had been raped by his friends (sex with other men) would have convinced a jury …

I think in some ways we did — Kerwin was quite present in this episode … as was Daniel as a boy and young man. That Holden nuclear family positively adores one another …

I agree — they both "live in their heads" far too much and need to — baby steps — enter the rough and tumble real world as they become stronger both emotionally and psychologically … Daniel has been damaged by being "emptied out" — starved and isolated — like Robinson Crusoe — during his time in prison … Tawny has

the "grumpy cat" of amphibians …

she didn't "have sex" — she was gang raped ….

It may be that Trey — desperate for a plea bargain wrt George's death — decides to come clean wrt to Hanna and implicates Chris … could that Scrunchie have useful Chris DNA? Does Trey have downloaded telephone messages/conversations?
Trey benefited from shielding Chris. He may have arranged for George to provide a

and how many were terrified that Trey was behind that closed bedroom door … with Amanda alone in the house ….

yes, irrc, Teddy mentioned that his mom had substance issues but that only learned about that later from his dad … he was blindsided by her departure … whatever her sin, it was "unspeakable" … I don't know if he really thought it was his fault … I think he said his DAD had said as much …. I remember being startled and

I don't think she was fully-conscious and conversant and promising not to tell anyone and/or worrying about how Daniel would react … I think Chris was lying …

Worse — I think that Ted Sr. taught Teddy that the manly response was to "never look back" and to never forgive … and Teddy took this to mean that his mother was a BAD person … and that her badness had taken time to be revealed and was then indelible … Didn't Teddy say that Ted virtually never spoke of her again,

She didn't even know he was separated … how she would even know that he had "turned over a new leaf" escapes me … her relationship with Tawny as far as I've seen is pretty much nonexistent.

I can certainly "imagine" it also … but that's not what I've seen in Amantha's relationship with Ted or her mother … and again, I think she actually dislikes Teddy for cause, not because he's not Daniel, or he's some interloper or even because he was "a jerky jock" … it's personal.

I think it was written to include some resolution and happy ending for Tawny (as much of this episode felt like a series-ender) … Tawny's gonna be okay … like a butterfly emerging from its drab chrysalis … her future life was dawning .. yes, it did feel out of place, even artificial … but it was pretty and I liked it

It begs the question of why she didn't get up, find her clothes and and leave the area — get-out-of-Dodge — or even search for Daniel who was (apparently) utterly MIA, tripping out on 'shrooms.
(Chris all but confessed it was a "things got out of hand" gang rape …so his picture of her being quite so "okay" afterwards

I'll have to rewatch but I'm not remotely convinced Chris was telling the whole truth … he left Hanna sitting up and carrying on a conversation — if "pouty" — mostly worried about how Daniel would react …
The implication was that she was afraid of Daniel and that she was uninjured and fully conscious and verbal (and

No mention yet of the bombshell Ted Sr. dropped on Teddy wrt his own culpability in the failure of the marriage and the mother's problems … Gut wrenching … See also Ted's apparent continuing upset over Janet's ultimatum about Daniel needing a place to stay … Teddy's fine moving back into the family home now that
