It does seem like some of the value for these collectors is predicated on the limited access the general public has rather than the actual games themselves. It’s their prerogative, no doubt, but it does feel weird.

Of course they can, but that doesn’t protect writers from criticism. Particularly in the case of public works of art. If we want to take games seriously—which I hope we all can agree on that at least—it will sometimes mean talking about stuff we found questionable.

It’s totally okay to disagree about this stuff too.

I had a glitch last night in Detroit: Become Human (which is a good adventure game) where a character was supposed to be pointing a gun at another character, but there was no gun. Really took the dramatic tension out of the scene.
