I'm pretty sure you are totally wrong about Peter. He is the same guy he always was. He used Wendy Scott-Carr to get to Alicia and to make WSC his subordinate, and when he got what he wanted, he discarded her like a piece of used tissue, and again humiliating her in the process.

I think you are right about Scott-Carr wanting to take Peter down. He humiliated her in the election, and she is not going to forgive and forget that.
