This isn’t the 18th century and we should grow up as a country. Everyone, literally, everyone has the right for their vote to count. Last night’s election made sure that did not happen thanks to our antiquated voting system. We have the ability to count every vote, therefore, every vote should count. The electoral

The downside to popular vote is politicians could then just focus on the most populous cities and neglect large parts of the country.

I work with code and data sets for a living. Put simply the electoral college is stupid for voters because it creates a “watered down” data set.

But that’s the thing, this system was put in place to protect against the popular vote voting in a crazy person into the Presidency (see Donald Trump). It may not be fair, but that’s life.

I would like to think this. However, too many GOP-led leges and gov mansions are scrubbing hundreds of citizens of their legal franchise.

It’s just such an old-fashioned idea. It was a great shortcut for many years, but in this day and age when we know the precise popular vote as soon as we know the electoral vote and can communicate both across the entire world in seconds, the electoral college system just doesn’t make sense over the popular vote.

And that is how President McPresidentface was elected.

The electoral college should be abolished because we know that the popular vote, which is the vote that should count, is not always the vote that elects the president. And that just sucks.
