Did someone sort that out for him? I burst out laughing the first time I heard him speak, and immediately felt guilty, but then I remembered that he was a millionaire several times over because he was good at kicking a ball around, and I went back to chuckling over his silly voice.

Not be able all callous, because one life lost is too many, but there’s at least a few of these every summer, no?

I was wondering that myself. Had to have been the trafficker, right? Doesn’t make sense otherwise. Yeah, I’m sure these people were absolutely desperate to get to America - but it seems really unlikely that they’d all sit there dying horribly when there was an exit.

God, that’s depressing.

I’m not defending it per se, BUT I have had bananas in a curry before, and whilst I was initially a little weirded out, it was actually delicious. So I can sort of see where she’s going with the banana + spice combo.

Now I’ve got that damn theme song in my head!

Thanks, Wink - that is exactly how I was using the word. I was hardly classifying talking about mental health issues as a negative, though I can see how it could’ve been misinterpreted.

Jesus. Can’t imagine what it must have been like for those kids, just waiting.....And for your dad, as he must have lost friends and co-workers. So glad he was late that day!

Thanks!

Hadn’t considered the lighting, thanks! We are in southwest Britain and it rains forever.

We painted the bedroom a sunshine yellow, and I love it so much. My husband was a bit reluctant, but once it was finished, he agreed how wonderful it was. The room is so cheery, even if British winter.

Your house sounds AMAZING!

Haha, no, based on the current housing market where we live, we are literally never moving.

We should sort out the curtains in that case......

This was good advice, thank you! We had been renting until we bought this place, and frankly I have no idea what I’m doing (my husband is color blind!).

Haha, I love the accidental minions wall :)

That is gorgeous!

Crucial question-what color did you paint the walls that weren’t burnt orange?
