I JUST explained the concept of emotional labour to my husband last night, after he asked me when his daughter’s birthday was (my stepdaughter), and whether I knew what she wanted. Now, I don’t obviously mind knowing these things, and I am better suited to do her birthday shopping than he is, but I felt it was a

I would be much better off if I could stick to that! Instead I stubbornly continue to do most of my shopping online even from shops where I know the sizing is a mess, and then half the time I wind up not managing to make it to the post office to return things that didn’t fit/looked ridiculous. Then I tell myself that

We were on literally all the same drugs! I was on serevant for years as a kid, then singulair, Zyrtec, and advair when I was in my teens/early 20s. I remember Advair being super expensive even with good insurance, so sorry yours has denied coverage!

Thanks! A friend of mine just got pregnant without any intervention after four years (!) of trying - so I haven’t lost hope yet.

Yeah, H&M can be hit or miss - I adore some of the stuff I’ve gotten there (I live in their maxi dresses in the summer), and they’ve held up for years. Other pieces didn’t last the season. I do wish they’d sort their sizing out though - I own everything from a size two to a size 18 (I wear a size 10) from them!

I would assume yes, nothing but unseasoned tomatoes! I don’t know for sure though, as I refuse to buy it, even for research purposes!

True story - in the U.K., the super markets literally sell a product labled “EXTRA MILD burrito kit” because apparently even a regular mild burrito could kill your average Englishman.

See my response to Von Populist :)

Mostly their laziness, to be honest. Combined, Kate and William do like a fifth of the work that the Queen, age 90, does. They’re consistently the least working royals when the year end numbers come out. Then in addition they do things with really bad optics, like Kate skipping the traditional handing out of shamrocks

The public opinion on William over here isn’t too great at the moment! Hasn’t been super for a few years, but it’s kicked up recently, and Kate isn’t as popular as the US media would have people believe. They’ve been getting hammered in the British press lately, even in more traditionally pro-royal papers. I’d be

Thank you :)

I was devastated when I heard she’d been killed in a car crash - I was obsessed with her character as a little girl.

Believe he said that he’s named for the longest name in the Bible in an interview not too long ago. I could be mistaken though!

I believe he said that himself in an interview- he’s named for the longest name in the Bible.

I love Betsy! It’s on my list if the universe ever decides to give my husband and I a baby (18 months trying and counting, sigh) - so sad to hear she doesn’t like it. She’ll probably change her mind when she gets older though. I didn’t love my name as a kid, but now I’m very fond of it.

Was just coming to say that! I get annoyed when beautiful traditional Irish names get lumped in with “hipster/white trash”silliness.

I think Tequila might be worryingly common - I’ve run into a few of them over the years.

Will Smith - ageless vampire?

My skin completely and unexpectedly freaked out a few months before my wedding - I was on a lot of antibiotics at the time for a reoccurring chest infection, so in retrospect that may have been the issue - and, nothing, I repeat nothing, would help. Despite decades’ of clear skin under my belt, I finally resigned

I think you’ve just inspired me to attempt fried chicken.
