Long John Silvers is better than

i tried to make this argument and was shouted down by a chorus of “BUT THE BISCUITS”

Really? What do you think of Red Lobster biscuits? They are amazing.

benihanas is nice, but should be disqualified because how badly you smell afterwards

The breadsticks alone put them at least in the middle of the pack.

i liked the second and, to an extent, third episodes.

Season 9 is a low, lowwww bar.

I had reservations going into it, but I was so willing to embrace the new episodes. And no, it was overall such a disappointment. The Were-Monster episode was decent, but everything else was dreck. And that stupid “cliffhanger” ending? Mulder and Scully deserved better.

It really is a bummer. The potential was there for something really great. I get angry when I think about how they ended the mini-series.

I totally agree. So many people are like “agh this show is awful!” and it’s like “yeah... it’s always been awful. what did you expect?” It’s not like it was some sophisticated art or something. It was a corny family sitcom. Why are we so shocked that the reboot is another corny family sitcom? What were we hoping for?

Somehow with the X-Files reboot, they managed to remove *any* *trace* of the original magic? Like, they took all the lightning out of the bottle, and then ran it through the dishwasher a couple of times to make sure it was entirely lightning-free.

Full House was always corny. Fuller House is the same corniness with jokes appropriate for modern time.

Some of us are so old that cell phones weren’t a widespread thing until AFTER COLLEGE. I was the first of my friends (and now that I think of it, the first person in my family, too) to get one, and I only got one because I worked for a cell phone company at the time (almost two years after I graduated from college)

So this Nanny didn’t sext or proposition her husband so much send a text meant for her friend extolling his hotness to him by mistake?

Seriously, that’s the second “didn’t you do that in high school” comment I’ve gotten.

You’re fired too!

Please don’t kill me, but her husband is kinda really hot. Not advocating breaking up families, just pointing out the obvious.

It was a pretty smart thing to do, especially if he had it going before they started talking and captured the bedroom voice.

I agree with you in general, but with one quibble - Stamos didn't get his start on Full House. He was already quite well-known from General Hospital. (Blackie Parrish FTW!)
