This car is the definition of 80s German luxury style. No question it’s an NP.

Done to protect the engine. Many modern cars cannot be rev’d to redline while in park. I have a Dodge minivan that limits revs to about 4200 while parked.

Alright, so the top 3 cars people should be legally disallowed from peeling out in are:

Would that be the automotive equivalent of a tramp stamp?

Whoa! Lookout, we got some big britches over here!...

God no.

NP if it’s a project platform. But you’d have to mod most major systems to make the thing into a great driver, i.e. suspension, engine, and transmission. If you can swap in an EVO AWD system, all the better.

The plural of “anecdote” is not “data”. Your anecdote may be true, but that doesn’t invalidate the somewhat different experience of countless other current and former BMW owners.

NP. The whole thing looks nice enough that the car would be worth the $3900 for the platform alone, even if the paint underneath isn’t so hot. It would be a great car for a budding mechanic wanting to focus on German cars, too.

I’m almost that age, and I’ve always like the C4 myself (the later ones with the rounded ass, not the earlier indented ones). I like the C5 for its everyman-supercarness, and it generally looks good. But the C5's ass is the stuff of yo’ mama jokes.

I still think that there’s no better car that sums up stonking, crassly unapologetic, in-your-face excess and class stratification than the Maybach Exelero.

Trucks really don’t depreciate all that fast, so unless you’re planning to buy one in 8-10 years, I’d suggest finding a way to save more pennies now.

Great to read a real-world review of this thing being used as a truck, and up to its stated limits. Also awesome that it seems to have done the job with aplomb. I think this RL will handily outsell the last one. It caters to male and female parental units, it looks more like a traditional truck, it’ll be reliable, and

Why do I get the feeling that even though this car is expected to fetch $2-3m, it will be reported next week that someone paid $4.5m for it and the used exotic market will become even more inflated?

NP even if it’s not the engine choice I would have made.

Uhhh...that is easily one of the most amazing builds I’ve ever seen.

I think he was angry that that Merc owner was defacing his car with the JC Whitney catalog.

I know exactly where that’s at. Pavilions Car Show. Every Saturday year round, 3 PM till whenever. The respectful participants have usually left the premises by 8 PM, which is when the younger, more idiotically inclined crowd makes an entrance.

I vote NP. This is an interesting build because it’s not the typical platform, it looks like a pretty clean garage project that’s nearly complete, and it has a reliable mill at the heart of its drivetrain. FWD yes, but props to this guy for selecting a unique platform and coming up with a workable concept. Hard to
