I’d be cool if a lawyer-type could explain what you’re not allowed to do when calling such a hotline. As long as you’re not threatening anyone, are prank calls okay? Is it legal to call every day and politely inform the operator that you disagree with what they are doing? Can I call in to report that a man named Jose

The operator....

I have to admit, I didn’t even read the article because I saw that they were describing people as “victims of immigration” and that is downright chilling. I’m not a fan of Nazi comparisons generally, just because it’s cheap and usually over the top. However, when you are trying to work people up in a rage against

(Not putting this well but) Forgetting just how ridiculous/stupid this is, in this situation (and most others) how do they think people will work out that someone is or is not an immigrant of any kind? What kind of calls are they expecting to get, and from who (or whom)?

Or we could be honest about this damned agency:

Spam it. Fill it meaningless garbage so that it becomes a waste of time for them.

ICE Arrests of Undocumented Immigrants Without Criminal Records Have Doubled Under Trump

Hey, I’m not denying that it is illegal, but it’s still bullshit to say “we’re just going to get rid of the criminal” and then consider them all criminals. You are implying that you are only going to get rid of the ones who have committed some other crime.

I know, it’s obvious. Just as obvious is how inhumane and outrageous laws can be.

Always remember when they say they are going to get the criminals first (or bad hombres, as our president might call them), that’s bullshit. They define coming here illegally as a criminal act, so they see all of them as criminals.

Assholes. I hope these ICE agents are haunted by night tremors filled with images of Trujillo and her kids every night for the rest of their lives.
