A whole hell of a lot of Syrians, though, are praying for a real response from the US now. Take out Assad’s airports and you’ll find a lot of grateful folks in the ME.
America’s been killing Syrian civilians for years, but the world is happy to ignore it until talk turns to bombing Assad in addition to ISIS.

Besides, it’s overwhelmingly likely we get another empty symbolic strike that costs millions of dollars and does no real harm to Assad.
