The early 00's weren’t a high water mark for interior design. Pretty much everyone was doing that silver plastic thing. Hell Nissan hung onto that style for way too long.
...greater Chicago-land area for 10 years and been rear-ended sitting at red lights NINE TIMES
Have you tried Android auto? It’s freaking great.
Agreed, it was before my time, but when I put my head in the space of 1984, that design had to have seemed like a spaceship. I think the wheels are what date it the most today (but I love them anyway).
Underrated design. The C4 was pretty innovative in ‘84 and still looks fresh 35 years later.
The difference is small but the headlights in the yellow one look good but really stupid in the new versions.
You can check out videos from when the ZL1 was released. If I can recall correctly it never fully disengages from the previous gear until it starts to engage the next gear. Shift times were comparable and sometimes exceed the Porsche PDK system.
I’m pretty sure the 2.0T Camaro won a national championship, beating out the segment’s reigning big wigs (BRZ and Integra).
Just watch some videos of people driving these things, it bangs gears almost as fast as a dual-clutch transmission.
Hmmmm, why change the title when the comments roast the look, Mr. Tracy? Express your opinion!

“GM lost money for half a goddamn century while building shit” Huh? GM had good years and bad years, but they certainly didn’t lose money for 50 years straight.
In just one mile? That’s pretty good. Given another mile I’m sure it could have hit 200mph with that much power.
There is a difference between the speed of a standing start mile and top speed.
Nnoble, did your wife run off with a Cadillac salesman? Your post was about 5% accurate.
Wow, you really nailed it. Quite the astute observation... I can’t even tell which is which:
Co-signed. It’s not perfect but it’s an INSANE used performance deal. Buy one for $40,000 or less and you’ll have a car that can kick most cars’ asses.
These are pretty good used/CPO value if you can tolerate CUE and the tiny back seat/trunk. I looked for just the lowest priced manual Coupes/Sedans across the country and found several for <$45k with low miles. The automatics are on an average $1500 cheaper.
