I think it’s a good argument for disbanding these departments and replacing them with a constable and/or state police coverage.

I have believed for years now that the SCOTUS has to be ideologically balanced. It is not. There is too much conservative influence and much of that is unpopular with broader society. It’s like being forced to drink bleach when everyone else is against drinking bleach.
