I was at a Wal-mart earlier and the self-checkout lane was a mess. Full of unmasked people with full carts and seemingly no understanding of technology, hence the 1-2 employees stationed to assist them. So stupid. Stores need to limit the amount of items allowed at a self checkout and enforce it.

Not if the lanes have cameras. The local ones here do.

“Self-checkout” is an excuse for assholes to hold up people buying 10 or less items. I cringe and grumble when I see people with full carts in self-checkout. It defeats the purpose and adds more time to the shopping experience that would be better conserved by a speedy checkout.
