My grandfather would be displeased because of my father driving a Nissan Frontier after years upon years of only buying American (mostly Chrysler). He fought in WWII and wasn’t fond of the Japanese due to Pearl Harbor. My father should probably look at the new Ford Maverick as it’s not as big as the Ranger.

To be fair, Americans in the past derided Japanese and Korean vehicles when they were first sold here. It took years but people eventually warmed up to said companies and their vehicles as their quality improved.

I don’t see how it’s different from Chinese market cars coming to the US. It might just take a few years…

Neutral: I would at least rent one to see what it’s like. Has the company considered offering their vehicles to rental fleets?

Oh boy, another article about restaurants that will never make it to the East Coast. It’s too bad because we don’t even have any Pizza Huts or Friendlys left. There’s plenty of room for chains to carve out a niche. I mean, we did get 5 Guys, Chipotle and Panera Bread about 10 years ago.

Well for sedans/wagons, a way to get into the damn thing without hitting my head on the roof. It’s happened so many times to me just trying to get in/out. I might just need a taller vehicle for my next one.

Shower beer is definitely a thing. Just check out Reddit. There’s SFW and NSFW Shower beer reddits. I actually submitted something to the NSFW reddit but deleted it out of shame. I applaud the folks that are brave enough to do so.

I got a headache just trying to figure out what point you’re trying to make. I see an awful lot of people taking Billie’s side with the “youthful ignorance” trope. They just better hope she doesn’t say/do anything racist down the road. Cue the “I told ya sos”.

Funny because I didn’t use racial slurs when I was 13-14. It’s a cultural failure when these kids say/do stupid shit and then hide behind the cover of “I was young and dumb!” Let’s just keep in mind that sometimes, people DON’T get over the dumb shit they did as teens and it continues.

The same “coastal elites” the GOP rallies against are probably also bankrolling GOP candidates.

It’s not all this scary. My state (VT) passed 80% of the population with at least 2 shots the other day.
