Speaking of the prequels, I legit think that Revenge of the Sith is a great film and worthy of the Star Wars canon. Lucas took all the garbage of the previous two and somehow made it work as a tragic, grand scale opera.

Hmm. Come to think of it, it has a LOT in common with 'The General'. Good observation.

Yeah. Like I said , It IS well made and Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren are good (not great)characters. Visually it's terrific and the practical effects(thank god) are welcome. It just played TOO safe. It's a solid space opera but nowhere near the masterpiece that the critics were claiming.

Yup. Mad Max was BY far the best blockbuster last year (and of several years) and a real film.

It's a well made movie for sure but it's pure product. Just like your Marvel/Fast and Furious/Hunger games etc. People disagree with me now but they'll realise soon.

Star Wars fans are in denial right about now but sooner than later they'll come to terms with the fact that this movie was a total corporate product and just an above average blockbuster.

Which is ironic because now ALL the have is punching and have become SO stale that people NOW want something different.

Unless she dressed up in a Stripper outfit for 'Sucker Punch 2'. Then it's okay.

I really loved Returns when I first saw it and am still waiting for a revision/re-assesment after the MOS/BVS debacle. It hasn't happened yet but I'm sure it will. Much like Mann's "Miami Vice" was re-evaluated and people realised that its' really a great crime thriller.

I have always liked Superman returns and hoped especially after the Zack Snyder MOS/BVS debacle that it will be reassesed as a good movie (despite its' problems) but it still hasn't happened yet.

No that's Captain Jack Sparrow's job. Not Mr. Fantastic's.

HOT TAKE:

His PR team will make sure he never looks like a douche. His job is to pander to the mass market and he does that well.

It was total hot garbage and yet every critic gave it a pass because of the final five minute Paul Walker 'farewell'. For Shame.

That was one of my problems with Civil War. It tries to address the 'collateral damage' from prior MCU movies but how am I supposed to believe that these characters are conflicted when they were cracking jokes the whole time whilst fighting Aliens/Robots in the 2 Avengers movies??

How many is he going to take? He's already stolen all of the franchises from every other actor in Hollywood.

My pitch?

I would love if Johns and Affleck brought in Timm and Dini as consultants and form a pixar like 'brain trust'.

I agree. He had such charm and charisma in UNCLE, combined with his perfect olympian-like good looks would make him the PERFECT Superman anywhere. Unfortunately, he was cast in a Zack Snyder joint.

Zack Snyder should have played the joker instead of Jared Leto.
