Di Caprio. Denzel. Will Smith. Brad Pitt. Maybe Mark Wahlberg. That's all.

Oh please Chris is Tom Hardy compared to Liam. A.k.a the due who got famous because Miley Cyrus dated him.
Much like most Marvel actors. Including RDJ. None of them can open a movie like say Leo or Brad or Denzel can.
I still wonder to this day what Nolan was smoking when he gave Snyder the job. I mean what part of 'Sucker Punch' made him suddenly realize: " Yep! That's our guy!"
If only, the HUGE opening weekend proved that there was a massive demand for a Batman v Superman movie and that whatever the internet likes to pretend, the general audience was pumped for it.
I'm firmly in the camp that 'Flawed ambition>> Safe mediocrity' but this is what…the SIXTH time Snyder has failed in a row??!!
WB have always been very loyal to their talent. It's just the way they roll. And It's admirable to see that in this day and age. They hired Snyder for MOS even after the debacle of Sucker Punch and then hired him AGAIN after MOS's mixed reception.
The sad thing is that they actually DO. They gave Snyder ALL THE FREEDOM to make BVS and look what happened. All that 'martha' and 'granny's peach tea' would have never been approved in any committe meeting. That was ALL Snyder.
Zack Snyders' " GROWN UPS" starring a dark-and-gritty version of Adam Sandler.
I'm still hopeful that that movie is good. Because it seems like it's the exact anitidode to these boring 'vs/buildup/setup' movies and seems to stick it's thumb at every convention. Even Batman seems to be inserted into it for plot purposes instead of a pointless cameo ( He puts them all in Jail)
True. I hated BVS but it really looks like a real movie (at least during the non CG scenes) with proper mood and cinematography.
Thing is, they USED to be bold and unique. The 2000-2008 ish area was filled with unique, daring, superhero films with unique voices behind them. X2, Nolan Batmans, The two Hellboys, V for Vendetta and heck even the first Iron Man. Then the MCU came and quashed the entire genre into forgettable product.
I'd argue that BVS is even worse than GL. At least I can get drunk and make fun of peter saarsagards' stupid inflated head the yellow shit cloud that Reynolds is fighting in that movie. I can't do that about BVS.
What you call 'dark and pouty', I call extremely 'operatic and cinematic'.
Most everyone who works with Vin Diesel tends to be annoyed by him.
He's at least been part of the worst, most pretentious death scene in Hollywood history so at least give him credit for that.
Nicolas Cage's hair from 'Ghost Rider' begs to differ.
The Chinese audience loves him I guess….

Zack Snyder for Iron Man 4!
