It was the first true (then) next gen open world and really felt like a living breathing city with walking,talking NPC's. A lot of games that came later on owe it a debt.

He's an all -rounder IMO. Similar to Paul Newman and Robert Redford. Guys who were attractive an appealing but also could carry an entire film on their shoulders.

I'd argue that being a good movie star is a much harder job than being a good actor. And no one's better at that job than Tom Cruise IMO. He's outlived 3 decades and outshined all his contemporaries.

The moment where they hook up in nice but that dosen't excuse the horrible back-half of the season. I was up with it until the shootout but it was all downhill from there.

He tries SO hard to be. He's trying to ape Mann, Ellroy,Chandler, Polanski and Freidkin all at once and falling SO far off the mark, It's embarassing.

His face is always on the poster because he is the only one carrying the entire goddamn movie on his shoulders! If it sucks or tanks, it all comes back to him.

He's one of the only major A-listers who's out there, busting his ass in the field getting adult-oriented proper movies made (aside from all the tireless environmental work) but to the casual crowd, he's still the guy who has 'sex with models only' and ' goes for an oscar all the time'.

He seemingly just can't catch a break. I'm no Reynolds fan but It's extremely painful to see him fail time after time again. He fails even when he tries mixing things up. He took a stab at 'auteur driven drama' with 'The captive' and even that was a catastrophe.

It's got Eric Roberts hamming it up like there's no tommorow so It can't be all bad.
