I seriously think he's the best writer that has ever lived. He packs SO much into a single paragraph that most other writers would kill to fill up their entire books with. He's like a supercomputer that constructs phrases and sentences and seems to have an encyclopedic knowledge about EVERY damn thing/subject in the

Grossly overrated hack don't come up with movies like 'Zodiac'. Sure, he's been dabbling in Airport fiction nonsense lately but that dosen't mean, he's not talented.

Took me a whole month to finish and it was 100% a trip worth taking.

There are actually a few musical numbers in the book, I think. Lol. They always make me chuckle.

The recent 'Apes' movie tried something similar too. Not to Anderson's level of virtuosity but I was still THRILLED that someone had such ambition in a summer tentpole movie.

I SWEAR. Me too. That scene where Phoenix hallucinates all those women being naked while Hoffman is dancing around is 100% kubrickian.

He's not Laurence Olivier by any stretch but when used properly, he can be the biggest asset a film can have. He'll either steal the entire film and make it better or just embarass himself with gif-worthy 'acting'. There's really no middle ground with him.

That whole sequence is something else. It builds AND builds AND builds and just KEEPS ON building and then Mark Wahlberg stares into space and I'm like "Holy Shit, these guys are not getting out of here in one piece" and then Thomas Jane goes apeshit and then things all go to hell and all I can do is applaud and stare

It's still the best, most powerful movie I've seen so far this decade. I had lost all faith in the transportive power of cinema but that one made me a believer again ( even if it was for a short while).

The victim is so damn brave. He really is a true 'The Fighter'.

I just laughed. Because I am without any shame whatsoever.

Just breathtaking ,next-level stuff ( "I want to take you….on a slooow boat to china…!"). Also, freddies 'initiation' is another piece of cinematic transcendence. Haters will come around as time passes by.

Yes.It is and he's right. In fact, it's my #1 of this decade so far and I seriously doubt anything will beat it anytime soon.

Never ever. In fact save for Hard Eight, all of them are masterpieces. Hard Eight is just merely a very good movie.

Because at the time there really wasn't anything like it. I remember being stunned at the first 10 minutes (or however many) in which there was literally NO dialogue and it still was hypnotic. As was the rest of the film. The last film I could recall having such massive cojones was 2001. I don't think TWBB is PTA's

I'm the one who's seeking a pardon. Not you, not you and not you.

He's the guy who slaps the 'N word' constantly. You must be the other guy.

"I DON'T SURF HERE".

Yup. Armageddon is a classic 90's blockbuster and a constant staple in popular culture. Whether it's for the right reasons or not is debatable.

All Nolan said was that " I can't direct comedy" and the haters are out in full force, getting their panties in a bunch. Sheesh.
