Jackson has already gone over to the dark side. He let WB split 'The Hobbit' into 3 parts ,which is an atrocity and a betryal of the goodwill of LOTR fans.

They were not at all. They were emotional and dramatically effective. People confuse that with miserablism ,which is just not true at all. Plus all 3 had a big undercurrent of dry/sarcastic humour.
