Going with everyones' theories regarding the mechanical hand, perhaps Luke abandoned his mechanical hand after defeating Vader and Palpatine. I remember hearing the original version of ROTJ was a bit darker, with Luke disheartened and vanishing into the sunset, abandoning the rebellion and such. Maybe the hand made

I'm down for Luke being in hiding since ROTJ. It was Young George's intent to have Luke disappear into the sunset like an old western.

It's such a Fourth World movie. The director lobbied to have a special thanks to Jack at the end of the credits, but it didn't happen. He also tried to get him to do production design, but was blocked by the studio.

Right, but if you believe Batman to not exist, then sightings of the batmobile (some versions far less elaborate than others) become sightings of some "fan" spending too much money on a car.

Just to add to that, we have pictures of things like Loch Ness and Bigfoot. People might think of Batman the same way. Just because you have a picture of him doesn't mean he exists. Maybe authentic footage of Batman might be considered an elaborate hoax, or a prank.

This was one of the first I thought of as well.

"I like you, Glorious Godfrey! You're a shallow, precious child — the Revelationist — happy with the sweeping sound of words! But I am the Revelation! The Tiger-Force at the core of all things! When you cry out in your dreams — it is Darkseid that you see!"

I feel like you came in here with matches, lots of gasoline, and didn't realize we were all in a fireworks factory. (I'm kidding.)

Alan Moore uses Jack as God in his Supreme run. It's fantastic. Besides, Kirby *is* God anyway.

It was so obvious, I didn't even see it! Well played, sir.

I never understood Ford's downer attitude toward Han Solo. It's like he thinks people perceive him as the character he plays. (Which I would be fine with if it were me. I'd take it to mean I played the character well...) But for whatever reason, it only applies to Han and not the other limited range characters

I'd watch that. Can we add a G1 Grimlock into the fray?

I see what you did there.

Ha! I transposed e.e. cummings with Doc E.E. Smith - Oops! And yes, e.e. cummings, the poet, writes his name lower case. Thanks for catching that. I mix them up a lot.

I've never heard of that, but it's certainly a cool idea.

I mentioned this in another thread here. Quasar is more of a direct palette swap of a GL. He's the protector of the universe, while the Nova Corps fill the same role as the GL Corps. It's interesting to compare all three and then throw in the Lensman.

Quasar is the protector of the universe. He uses the quantum bands (jewelry on the arms), which form energy constructs and focus blasts of energy. Substitute that with Hal Jordan and power ring in place of the quantum bands, and the statement still fits. Quasar even ran around with Makkari, a speedster sitting in

Now playing

Only one mention of BATB Aquaman?! OUTRAGEOUS!!

I agree as well. It seemed plainly obvious that his encounter with his daughter's love was the reason for his change. I'm sort of surprised at the great efforts people have made to portray his turn about as something dark.
