Super Robot Pilot!!!!

I came here to say this! Anubis' finishing move is my favorite finishing move of all time. He just got cooler at yelling out "Quake with fear!!" as the series went on. His last battle is still one of my favorites.

True that. I'm still sort of in denial we don't openly acknowledge all the folks Stalin killed. Didn't they round people up in pens and just leave them to starve?

So, the actions of those U.S. Citizens, living in a country with strict isolationist policy, who chose to fight for the French and the United Kingdom do or don't speak loudly to you?

I think a distinction needs to be made between military action and the people of the United States. Pearl Harbor drew the nation properly into military action. Many United States citizens had gotten tired of waiting on their country to join the war and fought in the armies already facing Hitler.

Have you studied the Japanese occupation of China?

Totally! I am so tired of a hero needing a reason to be a hero. A firefighter doesn't fight fires because his family was mugged by fire in a dark alley. He does it because he wants to help. I liked seeing Cap do what he does because it's who he is. It was a relief!

Preach on, Alexander! I didn't care much for Cap or Superman for a long time, till I realized that it takes more strength to be optimistic.

And it didn't make you into Captain America. Interesting.

Well played sir. Denny O'Neil used to talk about this Bond when he would talk about his time writing Batman.

Totally. I agree with you completely on Roy, I'm just adding some thoughts on him below. Roy is my favorite fictional pilot, hands down.

Roy Fokker/Focker, all the way. He fought in a world war and a space war. The guy had it all. He eventually died during an attack lead by the Zentraedi's best pilot, Millia. I'd put Millia even with Max. Becoming wounded in combat at the hands of her squadron, and in his older age, to boot, doesn't take away

Roy was a fair amount older when he died. He had fought through a world war that had ended at least 10 years earlier. (How long was the war, by the way? Roy was a combat pilot for along time.)

Honestly, this would have been so insanely awesome. With Murray's body of work, there's no telling what direction it could have taken, but I don't doubt it would have been original and very entertainingly strange.

JSA: The Liberty Files is a favorite of mine. The use of Batman, Hourman and Dr. Mid-Nite as WW2 secret operatives of the government is pretty clever. They use shortened code names like The Bat, The Clock and The Owl. Known super villains are now members of Hitler's regime. Awesomeness ensues.

My love for the American version is purely from a childhood nostalgia and familiarity perspective. I love the Robotech soundtrack every time I hear it. I had Robotech VHS tapes I watched a thousand times over before I ever came across any recordings of Macross. Hikaru's voice just seems odd to me compared to

Yeah, I have issues with Harmony Gold. Back in the day, they were fantastic. In 1994, I even called the company once to order the Robotech Soundtrack on CD. It was mostly only available at conventions at the time. Somehow, my 14 year old self ended up on the phone with Carl Macek. He talked to me for about 20

I heard the same. With some other rumors going around, the Commander Rogers design might have a story element more similar to the old Captain (USAgent) suit, or the Man Without A Country design from the Waid/Garney run.

Can I have Karl Urban as a Jedi Master? Please. There are certain ideas that just seem right in the world, and Karl as a supporting actor who happens to wield the force and carry a lightsaber is one of those.

I thought Greyhounds ran about 45 mph at top speed. That's a three quarters of the speed of a Cheetah. I've got two greyhound rescues, one that won a large amount of her races and she's still a spitfire when she's got the room to play. That said, having seen a Cheetah run at the San Diego Zoo in a demonstration,

Speed Racer was amazing. It's the best live action family movie of the last ten years.
