Diversity isn’t about just filling the room with women and minorities.

The issue with diversity for diversity’s sake is that you’re essentially ignoring merit and ability to fulfill some criteria that gives the illusion of equality. What about in areas when people can’t just be handed positions because we feel sorry for them. Isn’t it rather condescending to say to a woman”here you go…

bullshit. CARB and EPA have simply said that starting in 2008 diesel engines need to meet the same standards as gas engines. They no longer get a free pass. And since at least two manufacturers have been more extensively tested and found to pass, the requirements aren’t “unrealistic.”
