I think you’re underestimating how easy it is to make a “tap” game and how alluring all that money is just sitting there “untapped,” if you’ll excuse my pun.

Sweet another “I’ve not actually read or considered the point of the article, but I’m going to post a short snarky comment” comment.
Except that, you know, all criticism is subjective. Disagreeing with the substance of the article does not mean it lacks substance, either. The first comment (“I like the interface”) is vacuous because there is no argument, merely a statement. Now I’m not saying that comments need to be as detailed as this article,…
That seems unlikely in today’s climate. 2005? Sure. But GTA V was filled with tits and dicks on console and I didn’t see much, if any, backlash at all.
Now let's see Jim Sterling reply in Vietnamese... wait.
Artists make art. Critics evaluate that art (I'm using "art" loosely here). There may be a line between criticizing and bullying, but I've never seen Jim Sterling cross it. Artists don't get to dictate the conversation around their art, that's just how it goes.
I had to laugh when I read "your opinion is totally valid." And I mean that in the nicest way. Nice to see someone with an opinion not jumping down someone else's throat over Batman.
I was playing Rogue Legacy until my PS4 controller needed to be sent for repair :-(. Until that game, I had never loved the roguelike genre. But Rogue Legacy is addictive as hell.
I am a little afraid by these consumer electronics companies getting into "health." The market for health products already produces a great deal of sham products and misinformation. Hopefully Nintendo consults with real, good doctors to shepherd their lineup.
TAS speedruns are invaluable to runners because TAS runners discover things that would be difficult to find in normal play. Also, TAS runs can be filled with crazy stunts and tricks that no person could reliably pull off.
That's exactly why speedruns fall into multiple categories and rules.
For anyone wondering what Martha Stewart is showing us: it's the arc of the covenant.
I want to address "good white people" (and I lump myself in that category) : you have to constantly reassess your actions as an ally. The measure by which you should judge yourself should be "do I feel like I've done my best to make a difference?"
I just literally did a coffee spit take.
"I'm gonna write some kind of lore-primer for later this week..."
That's known as the fallacy fallacy. While I encourage people to argue logically, I have invariably proven that all people who read an argument and merely reply "such and such fallacy" are dickheads.
Well I guess Hillary was just following ord- I mean just doing her job.
My Wii-U is saving me huge money on games by not having any.
Mine, like all my nameable characters was "Smash" Shepherd. My other characters with two names are "Smash Thunderhands." Male, female, human or other: always "Smash Thunderhands."
Even button mashers should be able to churn out a more interesting fight than this one. My thought is that there is a reason we're shown this dreadful bore of a fight the way we're shown it. Anything but a clear exercise under their control is going to be broken.
