I can't wait to give The Last Guardian a shot, although the WiiUing I want to get done before the Switch comes, followed by the Switch coming, might delay that a while.

I couldn't get into ZombiU, but I might have to check it out again if I get a chance between now and March. I want to give my WiiU the best send-off I can, because it's served me very well these last several years, and that's one of the only games I bought for it that I didn't at least complete a full playthrough of.

I'm willing to forgive the fact that I occasionally need a secondary thing to entertain me during the final session of a random battle in light of the fact that the game lets me fast-forward through the story sequences for those occasions where I need to make a few runs at a boss.

The vanguard of the resistance. The kids are alright.

I'm a wildly reckless Souls-player, so it was frustrating for me! haha

What ending did you get in Dark Souls 3?

Bloodborne was pretty brutal when it came out, though: the load times could be well over a minute and they hadn't included the Souls-standard "load screen that displays item descriptions to give you something to distract yourself with." They eventually patched that stuff in, but it was a real drag for a while, staring

If you're really in to going digital, my understanding is that the Switch's memory should be pretty easy to expand. That's one additional purchase, of course, but it would allow you to keep on getting games the way you like to get them.

32GB of storage is definitely weak (and I'm glad that it sounds so easily expandable!), but here's an area where cartridges are advantageous: my PS4 has a much bigger hard drive than my WiiU, but even when I want to download the PS+ indie game of the month I almost always have to go delete some stuff, because even my

I really liked how similar the Inquisition's fancy uniforms were to the fancy uniforms the Band of the Hawk wears to their celebration ball in Berserk.

I don't think I'll ever fully understand the (apparently very large) segment of the gaming community that wants to know all the details of a game before it comes out.

Dragon Quest III has a dungeon where, after reaching the center of a dungeon and obtaining the treasure, a random battle is triggered every time you take two steps step. It is not an optional dungeon. It is also possible to take a wrong turn on your way out and add to the length of your journey, if I recall correctly.

Speaking of JRPG goodness and anime bullshit, I'll be pushing forward towards the end of Tokyo Mirage Sessions this weekend, and quite possibly not having time to play anything else! I picked up a course for another Faculty at the school this semester, and while that's going to make it very easy for me to buy a fully

This guy… this is not my kinda guy.

And, as a follow up to Gnome's questions, what do you think is the income threshold a man has to fall below before it becomes conceivable to you that he could mistreat a woman and it wouldn't "make her life"?

The colour palette contrast between, say, my favourite WiiU games and my favourite PS4 games is really quite striking!

I suppose it would depend on how we're defining success! It certainly broke Nintendo's dominance of the home console market, fractured a lot of their strong relationships with 3rd party developers, and didn't sell as well as the PlayStation.

Because I'm going to play it on the Switch?

Not sure if you were excluding 2D Mario games in your statement, but Super Mario World definitely has the Forest of Illusion!

Ah, good point! This is unfair, since NSMBU is actually a stellar game and the high point of that series, but I didn't think of it because I was thinking of "real" Mario games!
