Aw man, you have my congratulations and my sympathies at once! I think the word "might" is doing a lot of work to keep hope alive in that final sentence!

Not the share price! This is a bummer because I was going to play some Tokyo Mirage Sessions on my WiiU today and now it's going to be over 6% less fun.
A Nintendo console hasn't launched with a Mario game since the N64.
I believe I picked up Spin the Bottle: Bumpie's Party on the strength of your review. It was fantastic, and I never would have even given it a second look without you, so thanks! (In my defense, they were really trying to alienate everybody with that name!).
Mario throws his hat. The hat hovers, spinning, in mid-air. Mario jumps on to the hat and bounces off it, allowing him to pass between two skyscrapers. The hat returns to him so he can do it again.
My 3D Zelda Rankings:
Aw man, I feel for sure that you can bring your wife around on this! haha, as far as I can tell the Joy-Con adds one additional piece, if you're using it as two controllers: that's the tack I'd take!
I was deeply confused by the title! Haha, apparently the series goes 1, then X, then 2, even though the games don't share a universe?
I certainly do! Hopefully for this console they'll add a feature where people can just not buy the games that they aren't interested in playing, and then everybody wins!
Ah, that's clever, too! For that matter, I suspect there's probably some way to use Peach to accomplish the same thing. I felt obliged to do it the first time with Mario, and then never felt obliged to do it again!
I've never picked up a console at launch before, but I think I'll be getting this one March 3. That's partially a function of hype—I am pretty enthused about almost everything they showed last night, from the "core" games to the fun motion control stuff—and partially a function of me being much more affluent than I…
The one thing they showed the hat doing in the video was… Mario throwing it ahead, where it hovered in the air, allowing him to bounce off it to make a jump from one skyscraper to another.
BUT HE'S GOT A NEW HAT!!!!!!
If Xenoblade Chronicles is your favourite game ever, I think you should definitely not reject the new one based on a very brief reveal trailer!
I was THRILLED to see that Nintendo isn't actually getting rid of motion controls.
Oh, sure, the games look great… but what good is a great game if you don't know for sure that the output device for the game can be described using really high numbers?
Okay, this is from a three-year old memory of the game, but:
It was not! I took it as an affirmation that I've been diligent in singing the praises of this unsung masterpiece!
The demo delayed me buying the game by about 8 months, I think! Haha, it is not a very good demo, mainly because, as you say, it just tosses you in and assumes you'll figure it out.
