Played Wonderful 101?

Keep at it! The only part that really stymied me was those damned Beat Blocks! I'd say I threw away about 20 lives mastering all the non-Beat Block parts of the stage, and maybe… 150 lives getting the timing on those Beat Blocks!

Why won't you be able to play with the new toys Splatoon 2 introduces?

I know that feeling of getting motivated to consume "primary" media for the sake of the "secondary" media experience! Back in high school I received a complete works of Shakespeare and Harold Bloom's Shakespeare: The Invention of the Human almost back to back, and getting to read another essay was a big motivating

As long as we're talking about tragic neglect of Platinum Games, it's cruel of this article not to mention The Wonderful 101, an action-gaming masterpiece that has not received its due.

This guy… this is not my kinda guy.

The Rush-Adapter powerups are the thing that really stuck with me from that game! That, and my general delight in discovering that there was another Mega Man game so long after I'd moved on to the SNES.

Ha! I don't think either of us noticed that I said "Siegmeyer" when I meant "Siegward." They're completely distinct characters!

A fair point! Although I'd be lying if I tried to claim I wasn't happy to see ol' Andre again, even if he no longer does a straight up Godo impression when you bid him farewell!

What bothered you about the callbacks?

One of my biggest complaints about the game is that it tries to present you as an important leader who is making enormous choices, but nothing you do on behalf of the Inquisition really seems to matter in the slightest.

Welcome to the WiiU! You're coming in at the end, here, but the back catalogue is deep (if not broad)!

Happy New Year!

And the same to you!

Yeah, it'd be tough to make the business case for it, unless there's evidence of a severely undertapped market!

I've also been enjoying Invisible, Inc. Console Edition of a PC Title for You to Enjoy on Your Home Gaming Console and experiencing some similar frustrations, although I think for me it's less of a "mouse vs. controller" thing and more of a "wow, the text and symbols display at a really high resolution and I can't

I'm hoping my mom was able to secure a NES Classic and that her talk about its sold-out status was similar to what you're doing… but it seems less likely, on account of I'm a grown man. That said, since I'm a grown man I can just go buy my own once the holiday rush settles down!

I've been playing Lara Croft and the Tomb of Osiris with milady, and it's also a serious "more of the same" experience. But since the "more of the same" is "more engaging, co-op puzzle solving" I'm likewise pretty happy about it.

Man, I find those indie game bundles so overwhelming! I bought one Humble Bundle once, it had eight games in it, and I still haven't managed to play all of them… I can't imagine receiving over 150 games at once!

I'm probably due for an Earthbound playthrough some time soon… it's been almost two years, I think! I was holding off because it really seemed like an official Mother 3 release might be imminent!
