Turn the platters into cool looking drink coasters. If your super paranoid just heat each side with a blowtorch till it starts going rainbow colors(the heat destroys the magnetic properties of the platter essentially removing its ability to retain data) for an even cooler drink coaster :)

Cool idea, only problem I can see is how well would it work in the cold... Usually after a certain temp lcd displays get abit laggy.

I found a good way to clean your ears out is to use one of those little mini rubber bulb things(works like a turkey baster but its tiny) and use warm water and shoot it into your ear while over the sink. Excess wax buildup gets flushed out nicely and no risk of messing up your ear permanently.

Xenserver works decent too if you want to try something without a paywall like esxi. Esxi is a cleaner/easier to use product but I have found xen’s hardware compatibility and hackability with custom scripts to be much better.($40 server from ebay with a fancy raid card might choke on modern esxi because the hardware…

Im just suggesting ways to defeat the device. If the ticket was enough hassle for someone the parking authority wouldn’t need to resort to such ellaborate vehicle immobilization methods.
Im sure a well placed drillbit through the part of the alarm that makes the noise would work to disable it... Then you have abit of time to drill into the suction area to relieve the pressure. Its all plastic from the looks of it. I doubt they would use hardened steel plate to protect the suction or alarm areas...
Well when I used my iphone 4 outside in anything below -15c the battery would go from fully charged to about 30% in 5-10 min and the phone would shut off promtly after that(the 4s/5s/6s all say they are overheating when they get too cold which is kinda weird...). Im guessing the phone was probably close to battery…
