Im just suggesting ways to defeat the device. If the ticket was enough hassle for someone the parking authority wouldn’t need to resort to such ellaborate vehicle immobilization methods.
Im sure a well placed drillbit through the part of the alarm that makes the noise would work to disable it... Then you have abit of time to drill into the suction area to relieve the pressure. Its all plastic from the looks of it. I doubt they would use hardened steel plate to protect the suction or alarm areas...

I like how they mention people had to watch helplessly from the side... If there was infact anyone there Im sure they would have thought about putting something slightly more solid then a human torso between the station and train to prevent the needless crushing....
In the interest of self-preservation I would like to think any autonomous vehicle would always attempt to keep its passengers and itself intact vs outside obstacles 100% of the time.

perhaps they can prevent interference with the valves in the case of a timing belt failure if the stopping height of the pistons can be adjusted....
