Could not agree more. I was enjoying it, but the moment that song and scene began was perfect for me and was where I was all in.

That's right! Ice…. Man….

I loved the kids, but Millie really impressed me with how much she was able to convey with barely any dialogue.

Carrie Coon, Regina King, and Eva Green (Penny Dreadful) all just got robbed.

Jesus Christ, yes. The main category I came looking for. There's a lot of talent there, but Eva Green acted circles around everyone else nominated.

Glad to see you're back doing these again this year, Alex. Usually I'll just skim through and head to the comments, but your recaps last season were insightful, entertaining, and most importantly, about the show. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Glad to see he's getting out and doing things. It'd be so easy to withdraw from the world after that.

Pretty much had to after that season finale. Wasn't like the first where it could also serve as a closeout to the series.

I got a rock.

"Shaq is rich; the white man that signs his check is wealthy. Here you go Shaq, go buy yourself a bouncing car. Bling-Bling!!!"

Only if you're live-streaming it.

How I always secretly hope very awkward public marriage proposals will end.

"Living in Sin" or "You Give Love a Bad Name" would obviously have been the better choice when picking oddly inappropriate Bon Jovi songs to sing at a wedding.

Had to scroll entirely too far for this. Until the End of the World is one of my favourites as well. It was my introduction to Wenders. Great soundtrack.. and if you haven't seen it yet you definitely should check out the director's cut.

I liked all three to varying degrees, but Tarzan is the one to see on the big screen. It's a lot better than this review led me to believe. The Shallows is good until the final act when it gets aggressively stupid….. like a Jaws the Revenge level of stupid.

The scene locking Lolly away was just gutwrenchng. I'm really looking forward to what they do with her next year. I liked how much they moved mental illness to the forefront this season in different stories and contexts, and I really hope they continue that trend by showing what the inside of one of those wards is

Don't know when the last time you were here was, but it's very different now than when I came up. After Hurricane Hugo and the Navy base closing they had to relfocus on tourism to survive. That was working well when I left here after grad school 20 years ago. But people came and didn't leave. It's overpopulated

You give people too much credit. It isn't so much well-intentioned as "Hey look at what a good and thoughtful person I am!"

Just finished that about 10 minutes ago. I thought that was Waller at first as well.

Great interview, Alex. I love Wyatt and could listen to him talk about whatever all day. He needs a podcast. It wouldn't even necessarily have to have guests… just him bullshitting about what's on his mind that day.
