It really doesn't! It's so pure and sincere and delightfully outlandish. It's like saying you hate Labrador puppies wearing rocket powered rollerblades.

I find the Transformers movies a real slog most of the time, but boy was Marky Mark just the most inspired casting. He's so perfect for this franchise in every possible way. And I will never get over that amazing Bud Lite scene in the last one, good lord.

Now the mid-budget prestige movies talented thespian actors usually made their bread and butter are going extinct and the age demographic for big budget movies swings lower, we'll be seeing a lot more talented actors lowering themselves to sign on for trash a heck of a lot more in the coming years.

I don't rate the Thor movies thaaat much higher on the scale of throwaway overly cgi action flicks above Transformers to be honest. They're the weakest of the Marvelverse by far.
Although Transformers has Hopkins now and the next Thor will have Cate Blanchett, so maybe we'll all see both this year.
