@Broton: But how do you unsuccessfully cure cancer?

"Jobs discovers malignant tumor in his pancreas. It's a rare form of pancreatic cancer that can be cured. He tries 9 months of alternative medicine, unsuccessfully curing the cancer."

@robot-shmobot: It's also used in the U.S. I'm in the midwest and many fo my friends call it pop.

"The user control the paramecium..."

@Dabamasha: It's not like they're going to release it into nature.

@runplaysleeprun: Probably not. If you read the article linked, you would probably die from lack of oxygen, so it's more that plants can live longer without oxygen.

@MTVAH: When you use a loupe, you have to put your eye right up to it.

@gonzorider: plenty of countries have gotten rid of their equivalent of the penny, they just adjusted prices so that they ended in increments of $0.05.

@C3PA: You mean spending a couple hundred dollars would have prevented user error? There might have been a problem with the alarm on the indicator, but the fact remains that they forgot to check the flaps. And one accident in 20 years doesn't seem like a system of cutting corners. I guess that you agree with airlines

@C3PA: Many (if not most) airlines have had at least one airliner crash.

@petethepanda: Originally I thought that I would hate the show because of the laugh track, but the show is funny enough that I can allow myself to ignore the laugh track.

Now playing

@DrNemmo: Your phone just doesn't have a strong enough vibrator. It should feel like a heart attack (when in your chest pocket).

I hate sleeping with my watch on.

@m4ximusprim3: It's not a "pedantic grammar correction." It's pointing out a legitimate error in a blog that claims to be a legitimate news source, and therefore should follow the grammar rules of a legitimate news source (e.g. knowing the definitions of words they use) and so I will hold it to the standards of a

I know that this is an old post, but it is a bipod, not a tripod. A tripod has 3 legs.

@The Squid: I would like to challenge your claim that this intends to wipe out an entire species. These would only be placed in populated areas, and would therefore function more like gun control laws, or anti-drunk driving laws, both of which do exist.

@The Squid: I was just saying that it wasn't so trivial as mosquitoes bothering us. And we already have cures for malaria, but they're expensive, and so in the areas where malaria is a serious problem (sub-Saharan Africa), people can't afford the treatment. This is a quick and cheap solution.

@jdawg183: Really? When I read the source article it implied that the old man told him to turn it off after the flight attendants announced that it was time to turn it off, and then when the teenager didn't comply, punched him.

@The Squid: It's not "because it bothers us." It's because it transmits dengue fever, which kills around 12,500 people a year, and malaria, which kills around 1 million people a year.
