@p51d007: DDT is legitimately harmful to the environment. It causes eggshell thinning in many birds, which led to the near-extinction of the Bald Eagle. It also is mildly toxic to humans and a carcinogen and exposure for infants can cause neurological problems. But you're definitely right, the only people who think it

@QuickWeevil: To be fair, AT&T is junk everywhere.

@Arken: Call in a complaint. Tailgating is illegal.

@Seventhexile Speaks: You know that profiling isn't always racial profiling, right? There's behavioral profiling too.

@Jakooboo eats Daleks for breakfast.: "I'm sure he would have turned it off if the stewardess asked him personally." Your words. You said that it is ok as long as you follow the rules when asked personally.

@Lord_Data ∞: Yes, but that is more necessary for major civil rights violations, not for minor inconveniences like having to turn off your phone. And civil disobedience generally is more public than quietly sitting there using your phone.

@chefgon: While what you are saying may be true, the part of what makes the placebo effect the placebo effect is not knowing that it is the placebo effect. Unless you did a double blind test, I wouldn't be so sure that it's not a placebo effect.

@nickba: I don't know about others, but I didn't want to upgrade because I didn't want to pay for an expensive data plan.

@Apostropartheid: Since the entire point of this chart is to nitpick, I think that it is ok to be pedantic.

@Malthian: I don't get what your point is.

First, lasers aren't faster than the speed of light. Second, it is possible to (by luck alone) dodge a laser if it was fired from far enough away. For example, if a laser was fired from 1 AU away, you wouldn't see it fire until it hit you, but you would have roughly 8 minutes to move out of the way.

@anitesh.jaswal: Most fourth- and fifth-generation fighters incorporate fly-by-wire systems. Do you think that the F-22 would be able to fly w/o computers? Let me answer that—no.

@Tarnationman: The Typhoon doesn't have stealth capabilities.

@NorthernRoamer: The American people didn't give a damn about Kuwait before 1991. Many Americans didn't even know Kuwait was a country. It doesn't matter how the American people feel about a country now, it does matter whether the American public could be convinced that this aggression cannot go unchecked (which I

@killah101: I was saying that a war with China would not be a war of aggression, so therefore, the U.S. would not attack China. I specifically said that the only reason that the U.S. would go to war with China would be because of Chinese aggression.

@Quadrophenia: But that accident could have easily been prevented by a better tire design. To increase fuel efficiency, the Concorde had no flaps or slats, so the tires rotated far faster than they otherwise would have, something that the NTSB pointed out the danger of multiple times.

@parabellum2000: It's very easy to confuse a lack of will to fight more wars in the Middle East and a lack of will to fight China. If a war happens with China, it will be because of Chinese aggression (in the case of Taiwan) or N. Korean aggression (in the case of a second Korean war, which hopefully China would be

To be fair, texting is far more dangerous than talking (even if talking is also dangerous).
