They’d be better of to try and ride the wave of converts by offering a “Lease until your model 3 is ready”. This way people get used to driving an electric, and setting up their chargers. Nissan gets to extend the lease at the flattest part of the depreciation curve, since you know it will be late.

Civic VX if you need a backseat or CRX HF if you don’t. 50+mpg all day without trying. No “lost at the game of life” stigma, just as long as you keep it clean (no rice). I average 55mpg in a 48 state VX, 70 on the highway, and 99.992mpg in competition. Runners up would be anything TDI.
