My concern is that Woodward and Bernstein weren’t shouted down with chants of “FAKE NEWS!!” What happens without a check on power regarded as credible by the majority of the population?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again:

What’s even more hilarious is that supposedly, Trump threatened Comey with the non-existent tapes to make sure that Comey told the truth ... and then Trump attacked Comey for lying.

I don’t think he lied. He has the tapes, they just don’t say what he wants them to say.
