It sounds like the main flaw with the game was the gameplay — having a working engine, art assets, and a creative toolset is nothing to scoff at.

Sony has burned through a lot of good will — a bit like Sega. They should offer anyone who purchased PSPGo a refund — they are absolutely destroying their brand by not ensuring that all major new releases don't come out on the platform by any means necessary. The Eyetoy hasn't been stellar either. I just don't see

Couple things. First, I'm not sure keyboard use qualifies as niche, but pretty sure people will always need a better way to type. Once you start bundling keyboards with tablets, are they really even tablets?

@Pessimippopotamus: Well-said. The author also seems to overlook that Americans aren't getting richer. Let's see, pay for food/school/transportation, or pay for an Internet-enabled phone.

He's right — Tim Burton's Alice is rubbish.

The idea is solid but the price is way high. In what sense are video game movies worth more than regular movies?

@The Intangible Fancy: Of course, the Angry birds devs have released something like 50 free new levels (with "cinematics"), and the game originally cost $3 as opposed to $30.

First, yes, Google leans heavily on personal factors like search history and physical location. When I search my name (which is common) my obscure website comes up first, which it obviously does not on other computers.

Can't say that Apple isn't doing a lot right, but man they need to reign it in...

@ThePaul: Actually, you're not saying anything. It's clear from the context that that sentence is in reference to individuals between the ages of 55 and 65 .

Thanks for writing this. I oppose reductionism in material sciences, especially when it concerns trying to cure everything with something that can be bottled and sold.

@kelz: You also have to account for the international factor. Apple's products are catching on, but my sense is that they will always be too expensive (and Apple to controlling) to ever take off in most markets.

I didn't realize terrorist perverts wore skinny hipster jeans.

@kablammyman: Otherwise though, totally original.

The pottery looks lifted from Mario 2.

Wouldn't be surprised to learn that Justin Bieber is like Kyoko Date, the virtual Japanese popstar. The question, then, is are there racks of Twitter servers dedicated to Bieber, or is Bieber racks of Twitter servers?

@RockyRan: I wouldn't be so cynical. We know, for a fact, that there will be exceptional art direction (we've seen it) and bucket-loads of content (hence the delays). Put that in the hands of a competent developer with a similar sense of humor (Gearbox) and I don't see how the game's not good. Even if the graphics

It would be funny if all the delay hoopla lead to a large enough increase in sales that the game was actually profitable. Of course, profitable for whom is probably the more important question.

They're designed to camouflage vomit. End of story.
