I’ve always been curious about old aircrafts, don’t they have fatigue wear on the structure after all this time of transporting heavy stuff ?

First thing to check is the quality of the paint and what’s underneath. This camo may have been done with cheap spray cans or products that are not compatible with most paints and solvents, or applied over a poorly prepped body, which would lead to reactions : bubbles, cracks,...you can’t paint over something like

I live really close from this highway and actually use it a lot, there are more semis than cars on this road.
Calais is about 40kms from here, the migrants stay near the “jungle”.

I haven’t been to the UK for a year, it wasn’t like that the last time I took the ferry...

Freddy (because Mercury)

Knowing the Brits, these guns are deactivated. I have a friend from there who has quite a collection of WWII guns, and he’s probably the most chill, open minded person I know.
Don’t go to the War & Peace show if that alone will get you nervous...they love their military nostalgia there.

How ? It’s basically a slightly cheaper and less good looking version of the Trans Am.

Parts are relatively easy to find for both cars. 924 parts are mostly cheap, but with the 944 parts you get Porsche prices...it can be expensive. The engine is also much more complex, with more electronics, sensors and such.

I’m biased, but a 3rd gen Firebird with a strenghtened body, IRS, improved interior quality and modern engines would be a fantastic car : light, agile, rather well balanced, aerodynamic (economy!). Mint models can be obtained for less than $15,000 easily.
And it looks like a jet fighter, what’s cooler than that ?

Riding in my father’s Citroen 2CV 6 Special in the early 90's ! My father wasn’t a car guy at all, and he used his 2CV (bought new in 1990 IIRC, a very late model) as a beater or to go fishing. So the floor of the car was quite dirty, grass was growing in tight corners, dead worms here and there, but it was always a

You’re right, I misread the “very late 80's/early 90's”...my bad. The 305 TPI/T5 started in 1987.

Yes my Trans Am is an L69/5 speed.

Slow compared to what ?

If his “can’t take corners worth a damn” he probably doesn’t have the WS6 suspension. My ‘84 T/A corners flat, I’ve driven all sorts of similar sports cars and it’s pretty damn good in comparison. I’ve done a rally with mine last week on the narrow and curvy road of the Flanders, great experience, she had no problem

The CFI was there only in 1982 and the first half of ‘83...you’d really have to want an 82-83 to get a CFI. And in my experience (84 Corvette) it’s not that bad, it won’t make you win races by any means, but it’s reliable and relatively simple.

No the T5 was available with all the 305s, L69, LG4 or L03 or LB9.
It was too weak to handle the torque of the 350, and that’s the only 5 speed GM had back then...

Yet you’re grandpa’s Supra is still a much hotter car than your boring beigemobile. Yes it’s slower, but I bet he has a blast everytime he drives it. The only fun you’re getting out of your car is when you beat obsolete machines with dated technologies...kinda pathetic.
Your “performance” is nothing to be proud of,

The Trans Am, but lately I’ve been driving the white Fox. It had been sitting for 25 years until I bought it last year, but it’s running great !

I’ve been saying this for years...but people are just sheeps these days. I believe a car is a reflection of ones personality, if ones buy a new car with a boring color, it’s pretty clear who that person is.

1984 Trans Am - Light gold with silver lower accents and light beige interior (was dark metallic grey originally)

Exactly, I really dislike black interiors, just an ocean of boredom. They can look good with a red carpet though.
Give me red, blue, green, light greys or beiges, anything but black.

As much as I’d want to say NP for an early 3rd gen, this one lacks its original features that makes it somewhat valuable. And the condition is really not that great. So CP for me.

A stock 82-84 Trans Am is really a stunning looking car, despite its many flaws
