A rare instance of where the insurance industry is actually working in favour of consumers. The existence of the IIHS has me convinced that US-market mainstream cars are the world’s safest versions.

Aaaahahaha

There isn’t going to be much sympathy for an entertainer who chose to commit crimes as a hobby (it’s not like he needed the money). At least now he’s being useful to society, but this is the recipe for what not to do in life. This kid will be fearing for his life for a very long time, if he makes it longer than the

EVs have an advantage over ICE cars in that the crash structure is not constrained by a large open engine bay.

Also, the fact that most trucks (except the Ridgeline) are designed around a ladder frame which makes crash dynamics VERY different from a monocoque structure.

The ship to save on emissions equipment has sailed. The last time I had been able to spec a 49-state new car in an online configurator was probably 10-15 years ago. Everyone is making 50-state cars now, meaning the cost has already been sunk.

The only redeeming feature on the pre-facelift Challengers was the retro-style Chrysler steering wheel.

I get it, if there’s one brand that has everybody’s green light to make offensively sized vehicles without causing civil unrest, it’s Rolls Royce.  Making a car that’s the size of a Caddy is sort of unlike them.

There is no defence for China’s heavy-handed manipulation of Muslim minorities. It’s racist and ineffective. That said, on a different level, ethnic minorities, vocal political dissidents, etc. are also detained, harassed or worse in India. It just doesn’t feature as much on our media for various reasons from

On poverty: It’s probably not much nicer to be poor in India than to be poor in China, if at all. You have the same human rights violations and the same corruption in local government, one just rests under a national pretense of democracy vs the other being under an authoritarian technocracy. The methods with which

I was a big fan of the Ford Ka back in the late 90s, along with probably 5 other people.

I want to own one of these one day. My parents had the sedan back in late 1980s Hong Kong, but there was a house across the street from us with one of these bad boys street-parked.

You misread me. The product is too much for the brand. They should have kept the mid-engine configuration, done away with the expensive hybrid tech and kept the car in a lower price bracket.

Art and Science began nicely; look at the CTS circa 2008. Then the “focus groups” came back in and decided everything needs to be toned down (in other words, more anonymous). So now Cadillac is right back where it was before Art and Science.

The “First-ever” BMW 4 Series made me laugh. They literally renamed a product line.

RX-L, even better.

The NSX should have been at the GT-R price point, and not 1.6x.  It’s too much car for the brand and that’s why it isn’t selling.

Also important to evaluate is whether the dealer or seller should reasonably be expected to know and disclose any major issues found in the PPI. If the car has OBD error codes that indicate gross negligence, and the sale ad claimed the car runs fine, huge red flag on the seller’s honesty. Same with things like bad

The interior door panel, especially the area around the door pull, is nicely done.
