The SWB XJ makes a lot of sense in Europe, where long cars are a liability in city traffic and parking situations.

As a lifelong Italian car nut, I’m an unlikely fan of Jaguars. I used to think of them as the “pretty but oddball and unreliable” cars, until my wife (not a car enthusiast at all) let on that she liked Jaguars just because of the leaper ornament that is no longer offered.

That’s cool, most supercar owners didn’t ask for your opinion when buying them for their own pleasure.  They usually won’t be asking you why you don’t have a McLaren, either.  I don’t think there is a problem here.  Whatever problem you have with someone’s expensive car ends at your lips (more likely, your keyboard).
