Chan - Mid-engine with cabin fever

I had a 355 F1 for four years and 10k miles. On the day I sold it, the clutch felt exactly the same as the day I bought it. It bit at the exact same RPM and timing, indicating that I put very minimal wear on it.

I’m not quite there yet but heading towards this price bracket for a weekend, minimal-depreciation car. I’ve already owned an F355 before, and the F430 would be on my shortlist for my next Ferrari.

This is an OK price, neither NP nor CP.

Gun bunnies are a thing because the predominantly male gun nuts need a fantasy to fulfill their lonely, insecure lives.

Unlike the GT350, this thing doesn’t look good. Yes, they’re running out of ways to make a Mustang look unique and scream their horsepower numbers, but a fish-mouth grille just doesn’t work here.

This is a terrible track car anyway. The GT350 is the better track car, and even that needs mods from what I’ve heard from a friend who has actually done with his own car.

Yeah, I get it.  Pretty sure the only modern transverse mid-engines are inline-4s. I can imagine that mounting a flat-6 transversely would cause a lot of drivetrain packaging problems!

Because it’s a 911.

I came here to make such a pedantic comment, and was disappointed that I was beaten to said pedantry.

That too. I think amber is still best, but with LEDs the red rear indicators have become much more visible.

My ultimate dadmobile. It looks sultry, it’s kind of impractical being low and long, but once you’re in that rear seat do you care?

Thanks.  Are they spring-driven?

I think red is OK as long as they are LED.  Red filament bulb signals just do not show up very well, especially in the daytime.

Do these retract when turned off?

What ‘Murica needs that the rest of the world has is a turn signal repeater on the side of the car like that 850 wagon. Sure, some premium cars with mirror-mounted signals take care of this, but it still boggles me that a side repeater is not legally required and often omitted on US market cars.

Sure, that’s an internal policy, one that car dealers generally don’t follow. Your best bet is an email with a price offer.  Even that is not legally binding.

LW1 almost deserves a troll response.

MDX is the right choice, or an RX450h if you’re willing to compromise on AWD capabilities (I believe power to the rear wheels is limited to electric only).

I thought about it for a while, and came up with this:
