@DocSeuss: If you've still got a first-gen PS3, the backward compatibility is still there.

@Thomas Trala: Unless they've changed the design, the included Component A/V cable blocks the HDMI port. You have to buy an adapter from Microsoft to use Optical audio with HDMI.

A lot of this has to do with the fact that putting together a properly-designed, truly ergonomic office for under a grand is pretty much impossible.

I'll reserve judgment until I can see it in motion, but so far I'm not impressed. I don't think they're getting the look they claim to be going for. The effects(fireball, smoke, etc) look interesting but the shading on the models is off-putting, IMHO.

XII is one of my favorite Final Fantasies in terms of battle system and the actual world, but the story didn't really do it for me.
