It's not that I can't afford a new console, or that I don't want a new one. It's that I have nowhere to put one. I just upgraded to new av receiver because I filled every last hdmi port on my old one.

Or they could go the Nintendo route and just use more advanced versions of the same hardware. More ram and a compatible instruction set would mean there is no need for emulation.
Cannon Spike.
In general, my height doesn't bother me. I have plenty of tall friends and coworkers(6'+), and I usually don't notice the height difference. I have always been "The Short Guy" and outside of when people use it in a derogatory way it isn't something I think about.
I am a short male(5'4"). I pretty much gave up on dating a few years ago. I can't really say whether my height kept me from being more successful in such endeavors, but I am sure it didn't help. I go for all sorts of girls, but by and large the only type that has ever gone for me is the desperate type that just wants…
The Steam argument might hold water if there weren't crazy sales every other day. I buy content on steam almost exclusively during big sales. But digital-only consoles are still a way off. Even without taking bandwidth constraints into account, how many games are going to fit on a PS4's hard drive? 20+ GB games are…
The cost of support for a game is built into the cost of the game. Whether a disc has multiple owners does not affect this cost; only one person is using it at a time. If the same person plays the same game online for three years, it is the same as if it was sold twice and used by three people in that same time.
"The use of government force should not be the inherent response to any tragedy."
Not Penny's Boat was a decent twist, but a dumb way to kill off Charlie. I think he could have made it out well before the flooding got out of hand.
A lot more people in that audience than the HTPC or gaming of audience. If Ouya takes off, there is far less of a barrier to entry than built-it-yourself.
No, an Ouya requires far less set-up. Your idea of what is "simple" compared to the average person is skewed.
Because a HTPC is significantly more work than a console.
Alternate title: Sony Patent Could Stop Me From Buying Any Games, Possibly on the Next PlayStation.
I don't think the fall of Working Designs was entirely unavoidable. Sony took a hard stance against 2D games and became very selective about what lower-budget games they'd allow on PlayStation consoles. Victor Ireland was very vocal about the trouble he had just getting games approved for release in the US.
I agree that it is nice to see Square finally put out a universal game.
I interviewed with Apple a few times:
This sort of thing is why I can't get into military-style games. I just can't see how it is fun. I can get into something more removed, like Fallout, but military shooters have always rubbed me the wrong way.
Let's not forget that she was also the best part of The Brothers Bloom.
Sorry, but at the end of the day, console gaming is just less hassle. There are too many variables involved in a pc to ever be as reliable as a console. I spend all day fixing network and server issues. I don't want to troubleshoot at all once I get home.
Sure, put up a photo of the last good PC game pad. Then remember it was built more than a decade ago, and nothing since has matched the build quality. Even from the same manufacturer.
