this was a good movie trying something new. as such its so much better then seeing the same rehash of films we always see. If you think this movie is wrong with the racism, its feels pretty accurate for me as a teen in the 90's and even early 2000's. in my older age it may still be like that but my life keeps me from

Tough room. I can be a snarky bastard too, but sometimes you just gotta check your brain at the door and enjoy things without picking every nit. Perhaps I’d think differently if I’d coughed up $15 at the theater, but I enjoyed it well enough while kicking back on the sofa. And enough with putting every perceived

You seem to be easily impressed Katie, I really fail to see what is so “batshit bonkers” about a cop movie with mythical creatures. The racial analogies and “fairy lives don’t matter” line are in my opinion boldly unapologetic gestures meant to provide some levity amongst the perpetually insufferable.

It wasn’t as bad as the reviews had me expecting (or maybe hooray for lowered expectations) but the preachiness was a fucking mess and the middle dragged a lot (seriously, there was like four different times they holed up somewhere against some group or villain. Some decent action and quips.

Lol. Who hired you to write reviews? It’s amazing that the people who are reviewing this movie “professionally” are most of the people bashing on it.

I have problems with the film but after reading this and several other negative reviews it occurred to me that the conspiracy theorists maybe a little right. Mainstream movie critics might be a little out of touch with audiences. I loved The Last Jedi but lets be real not everyone did. But all the critics just adored

People are so full of themselves. So anxious to take the world so seriously as a proxy for taking themselves too seriously that they can’t just enjoy a unique story with good special effects and makeup, a combination of things we haven’t seen in a movie before, and a happy ending. Ironically all these people taking

I liked it. It was awful, of course, but fun. The effects and costumes were nice. I loved the concept and thought it was pulled off pretty well. It’s paced well except for a few scenes right before the conclusion. It was a neat Lord of the Rings “protect the super weapon from bad guys” story mixed with a little bit of

Damn, am I the only one who actually enjoyed the movie?

I found it refreshing. Looked great in OLED with Dolby vision. For those trying to tie this to our real world situation, try a little less. This is a fantasy, and I enjoyed it very much. Awesome job by Netflix, kinda blew me away since I never even heard of it before today. I’m a movie fanatic, and I needed another

So I thought it was FANTASTIC! Really great performances and awesome plot line! A look at a “modern” world of Lord of the Rings set 2000 years after the ring of power was destroyed! That’s what I got! The Politics and things really was relevant in today’s climate! SO Well done Ayer!

It’s a commentary on the times so the racial politics are important. That you pick apart pieces and inches shows you no longer know how to enjoy a movie. I expected to hate it because of the bad reviews. I really rather enjoyed it in spite of your pretentious bashing. I’ll take David Ayer’s pretention over you critics
