There are tons of RPGs that vary between modern day, sci-fi, and post apocalypse.
Many of them are action games or shooters.

Ok well, it's a bit more complicated than that but yes I agree it's not worth supporting the platform if you're going to support it in a half-assed manner.

If by next-gen you mean the same game with less content and probably inferior graphics despite being a newer system.

Oh, but we have tacked-on GamePad controls, just what I want with my Wii U.

he's referencing a very old controversy in video games. Mortal Kombat was censored on the Super Nintendo, it was the only version that didn't have blood.

Hence referencing Batman being stripped down, missing some vital new features only on the Nintendo console.

Yeah, the Wii U though. I bought mine at launch too, but for a first-time launch purchase, I can't think of a worse mainstream console.

It's still a loss, especially on anything you purchased digitally. I don't see the point in purchasing something expensive, selling it, then buying it again. People do it with games all the time as well. Why not just keep it, if you ever see yourself wanting to use it again in the future, keep it and wait for that day.

I played both at E3 as well, but that's not really relevant because we weren't able to check out new console features on the show floor first-hand, only demo games using the new controllers.

Not that i'm particular swinging one way over the other yet, but you are grossly underselling the PS4 by claiming it is "exactly" like the PS3. Many of the new features the Xbox One has are also on the PS4, not to mention several others that have been well known about since its initial reveal at the beginning of the

Do you really "hate" first gen? That seems a bit....unbelievable to me.

This guy gets a tremendous amount of shit, unnecessarily so, dumped on him every day. Try to imagine how you would react to that.

Also, keep in mind before calling him a terrible person on so many levels that you do not, in fact, actually know him. None of us do.

Alright, well you're not providing much counter-argument here, so I guess this is pretty pointless.

I am going to go ahead and ask you to bookmark these comments for this holiday when the game comes out for my inevitable (and admittedly unprofessional) "I told you so".

Not perfect? Wind Waker HD is far from the first game I have played this far ahead of its release, and there is usually a good chance the final product will be remarkably similar to what was shown at E3.

That said, it's not even a matter of it not being "perfect", it's a matter of the game not even being remotely as

Imagine my surprise when, as I said, during my E3 playtime I found it didn't look anywhere near as impressive as the pre-release footage during the Nintendo Direct.

For reference, there was a TV next to my demo station running footage of Wind Waker on a Gamecube. Despite the obvious widescreen and higher resolution, it

Ocarina 3D was a legitimate remake though, they completely overhauled the graphics and retextured everything, even going so far as to remodel and animated some things.

From what I played of WWHD at E3, it seriously looked like they just added widescreen and upped the resolution. There were no new textures or touched up

I played Wind Waker HD at E3 and it was a huge disappointment. I can tell you from first hand experience it did not look like this picture at all. It looked like the game was being run on the Dolphin emulator with a widescreen mod.

There were no visual differences at all, in fact, even visual errors like Link's arm

I actually just replayed that, my original Gameboy Cart doesn't save anymore so I downloaded it on 3DS. Just as fun as I remember, they should reboot that series.

If anything, this just reminds me how bad the graphics are in both Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. Minimalistic style aside, it's just super low-poly environments and terrible texture work.

I feel like, even though it was the Wii, it was capable of slightly more than this. Mario Galaxy looked a ton better.

about the biggest thing a "hater" could say against this is that this is obviously Microsoft trying to imitate Sony to improve the horrible image produced by the choices they've already made.

They could say this decision does nothing to prove Microsoft knows what it's customers want, because if they did they would have

That's pushing it a bit far. This video overly dramatized something that's not really much of an issue.

The Mario games continue to be great for the most part. New Super Mario Bros. U was pushing the retro retread series past the point of novelty, but it's still a very solid platformer, made more exciting by the fact

Striker got here before I did.

Basically what he said, people who aren't familiar with code or how game's actually work always seem to think that data is equally distributed through time or some nonsensical fashion.

Basically, regardless of if you don't load the very very minor intro animations, you are still required
