Great fucking movie.   Lorene Scafaria’s followup film, The Meddler, is worth checking out as well.

Is it personal this time?

Outcast was definitely the better of the two Robert Kirkman shows (a friend’s theory is that it was the one he’s the least involved with.) It’s a shame it was the one that got cancelled. Who doesn’t love Evil Brent Spiner?

Looks like more crossover than usual. And I’m really surprised that something new like Mother! would be on both of them at first instead of in a few years.

That top photo is me looking at this list. Looks like it’s time to turn Hulu back off for a few months.

Its “Must See TV” gone totally wrong.

Lucky bastard.

I know. But it’s only 8 episodes. The last thing I quit successfully was Arrow. There’s a couple other things like Agents of Shield that I’m a couple seasons behind on and tell myself that I’ll eventually get around to, but who knows. So those might count eventually.

Ugh. I’m torn. I don’t want to do this. I said I was done after season 3, and I know this isn’t going to be good. But the completist in me is fighting hard. If they had just waited and drawn the whole thing out week to week next year on Lifetime then I’d be free and probably wouldn’t have even bothered. But since they

Yes. I’ve been saying this for a long time. There’s so many things that I’d love to see. It wouldn’t be the same as seeing them live, but I’d still be willing to shell out to see things like David Morse and Denzel reunited and doing The Iceman Cometh together.

Yes.

Nina Simone’s dead, you dummy!

Good news for one of the big name trans actors/actresses who can open a multi million dollar movie.

I am not sure how much of the internet outrage was based on her casting or the response. Either way she never stood a chance at winning either argument in this current climate

In addition, she will no longer play Black Widow because she is neither of those things.

I’m sure that Scarlett Johansson, a multi-award winning, very serious actor was planning on “caricature.” Good call, pal.

And now the movie probably won’t get made.

The reaction to this seemed overblown from the jump. FX is putting on a critical darling in Pose, and it’s being watched by approximately 29.3 people. If people aren’t supporting work with trans actors that is being lauded, no studio is going to pick up a movie unless it’s just straight up Oscar porn.

She is an actor...her job is to pretend to be people she isn’t. It’s not as if she got the role over an equally talented trans person. I totally get the backlash re: Ghost in the Shell as there are many talented Asian actors out there. However, trans people make up less than 1% of the US population (reported), and an

Finally. Counter-programming to The Handmaid’s Tale.
